RunneR to Replace purp0 in GIANTX's Final Match at VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1

GIANTX announced that Emil "runneR" Traykovski will play in the match against Apeks on April 23. The player will replace Semyon "purp0" Borchev in the controller role. The organization shared this information on its X page.

At the time of writing, purp0 is still part of the main lineup. However, he shared an ambiguous post on his Telegram channel:

Today, GIANTX will play without me. There will be no comments for now, thank you for the support, guys. I hope to return to the media space soon.

Purp0 has been an active player for GIANTX since April 2024. He participated in several stages of VCT with the team, including VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff and the current group stage of EMEA Stage 1.

Previously, due to unsatisfactory results in VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1, GIANTX signed Hancheryuk "ara" Eduard-George and Karel "Flickless" Maekelberg from UCAM. They replaced runneR and Tomasz "tomaszy" Machado in the main lineup. More details about the previous roster change can be found in our previous article.

The next match for GIANTX will take place on April 23 at 20:00 CET. The team will face Apeks as part of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1. The event runs from March 26 to May 18, featuring 12 teams competing for three slots at VCT 2025: Masters Toronto and 11 EMEA ranking points.
