The young team GIANTX has announced the completion of their Valorant roster ahead of the start of VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1. The latest addition to the team is Semyon "purp0" Borchev, formerly of KPI Gaming.
In late 2023, GIANTX was announced, becoming part of the EMEA league. Shortly after finalizing the roster, the club participated in VCT 2024: EMEA Kickoff for slots at Masters Madrid, but due to insufficient time to prepare the players, the team finished in tenth place.
Today, on April 2nd, it was announced that Semyon "purp0" Borchev would join, replacing Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas, who recently left the club. Throughout his long career, Semyon has been noticed in many lesser-known teams, the latest of which was KPI Gaming. The player already has some experience in seasonal tournaments, representing Acend in VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers in 2022.
Tomorrow, GIANTX will debut with their updated roster at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1, where their first opponent will be Karmine Corp. Eleven teams will compete for three slots at Masters Shanghai and 3 VCT points, for participation in the future world championship.
