Gen.G Black's Journey in the 2023 season
The entire roster, including the coaching staff, was signed on April 3, 2023, just one day before the start of the qualifiers for the first series of Game Changers tournaments in the North American region. The team failed to pass the closed qualifiers, finishing their performance in the open qualifier stage, losing their first match with a score of 0:2 maps.
After the unsuccessful performance, the team set out to rectify their mistakes and improve their gameplay to come out of the open qualifiers for the VCT Game Changers North America Series season 2 2023. Before the qualifiers, the team participated in the Knights Arena Sakura Cup #14, where they managed to take 3rd-4th place.
Gen.G Black couldn't prepare enough for the qualifiers, though showing a better result than before, the team finished in 13th-16th place and earned 10 NA Points.
