Gen.G announces a new addition to their Valorant roster: yoman joins the team

On October 23, the Korean esports team Gen.G announced a new addition to their Valorant roster. The new player is yoman, who previously played for Nongshim RedForce. He becomes the fourth member of the team, joining t3xture, Karon, and Muchkin.

At 28 years old, yoman already has significant experience in esports. He began his Valorant career in 2022 and turned professional in January 2023 with the team Shadow Corporation. In his debut season, he placed 4th in VCK 2023 Split 1 and 6th in Split 2. In July of the same year, yoman joined Rare Atom, where he finished second in the VALORANT CES Act 1 and Act 3 tournaments. In the Ascension tournament, the team reached the finals but lost to DRG.

In February 2024, yoman returned to the Korean scene by signing with Nongshim RedForce, where he became the captain and leading player. Under his leadership, the team placed 3rd in VCK 2024 Split 1 and became finalists in Split 2 but failed to qualify for the Ascension tournament, losing to Sin Prisa Gaming, who secured promotion in the league.

yoman is expected to take on the role of initiator in place of Lakia, whose collaboration with the team has ended. The player is anticipated to deliver significant performances in the team, despite his relatively advanced age for the professional scene.
