G2 Gozen bids farewell to legendary coach who led team to championship

Sad news has just emerged for fans of the German team G2 Gozen. The only head coach for the main Valorant roster, Robertas "Carcass" Mikuckis, announced on his official social networks that the organization has allowed him to seek a new home for the upcoming 2024 year.

In his Twitter account, Robertas "Carcass" Mikuckis shared his future plans with his followers. He stated that although his contract with G2 Gozen is still valid, he does not plan to continue the cooperation and is starting to look for new opportunities as of today. The coach expressed his openness to any proposals from other regions, either as a head coach in the women's GC league or as a coach's assistant in the VCL challenger league.

Hello, I still have a contract with G2, but I'm allowed to explore options for 2024. I'm ready to listen to positions as a head coach in GC, or as a head/main assistant coach in VCL. Open to all regions, don't hesitate to contact me for more information.

Robertas "Carcass" Mikuckis joined the team back in 2021 when the squad was just formed. In his three years of career with G2 Gozen, he helped his charges win numerous tournaments, the most famous of which is the VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship. This season, thanks to his guidance, the girls won both stages of VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA, and took 3rd place at the VCT 2023: Game Changers Championship.

It is still unknown whether Carcass has received offers from other teams, but given his incredible achievements, it can be assumed that the coach will find a new home in the near future.
