G2 Esports signs Babybay through end of 2025

G2 Esports has signed Andrej "babybay" Francisty to a contract valid through the end of 2025, according to information from the Valorant Champions Tour contract database.

The signing comes at a time when G2 is facing roster challenges, as Nathan "leaf" Orf is dealing with health issues. The exact nature of his condition remains undisclosed, but it already caused him to miss the Esports World Cup 2025 and may keep him out of VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2. Rumors have previously circulated about a possible return of Maximilian "Demon1" Mazanov to temporarily replace leaf, though no official confirmation has been made. As of now, there has been no formal announcement from G2 regarding babybay’s signing or what role he will play on the team.

Andrej "babybay" Francisty is a former professional player who previously competed with FaZe Clan. After FaZe exited VALORANT, babybay retired from competitive play and transitioned into content creation, casting, and analysis, appearing at multiple major VALORANT events. His last official top-level match was in 2023.

G2 Esports' next tournament is VCT 2025: Americas Stage 2, beginning July 18, with their first match scheduled for July 20 against Sentinels. You can follow their performance and tournament coverage here.
