FUT Esports heads to Red Bull Home Ground #5 - International Play-In

FUT Esports secured a spot at the Red Bull Home Ground #5 - International Play-In by winning a tense grand final against BBL Pacific in the Turkish qualifiers.

Turkish Qualifiers

The Turkish qualifiers for the Red Bull Home Ground #5 - International Play-In featured ten teams: eight received direct invitations, while two advanced through open qualifiers. The main and only prize was a slot in the next stage of the tournament, which was claimed by FUT Esports. It was no easy feat, especially considering the team played with a new player and a substitute, as cNed and ATA KAPTAN were absent.

The Coveted Slot

In the grand final of the qualifiers, FUT Esports faced BBL Pacific, formerly known as Pacific Esports, who finished second at VCT Ascension EMEA 2024. Despite their vast experience and status as clear favorites, FUT Esports struggled in the final, losing the first two maps in overtime. However, the team made a comeback and won the match 3:2, earning the coveted slot for the Red Bull Home Ground #5 - International Play-In.
