Career of xand
The 29-year-old xand began his esports career in 2010, joining the CS scene. After switching to CS in 2012, he played for South American teams such as INTZ, Furious, Keyd Stars, 9z Team, and Yeah Gaming, participating in international tournaments including ESL Pro League and DreamHack. With the transition to Valorant in 2020, he continued his career in teams like FURIA, NiP, KRÜ Esports, and 00Nation, where he established himself as a versatile player capable of taking on duelist and IGL roles.
In June 2023, while playing for 00Nation, xand helped the team secure second place in the VCL 2023 Brazil Split 2. However, in December of last year, he announced his retirement from Valorant due to concerns about the level of competition in the Tier 2 scene. Last year, his racist remarks from seven years ago had negative repercussions, which also impacted his career. He expressed dissatisfaction, stating that he does not believe in the improvement of the Brazilian esports scene.
In April 2024, xand joined the streaming department of the Turkish team FUT Esports, but returned to esports in May by signing with FURIA. In 2023, he did not participate in international leagues for over a year, but he achieved success in the VCT AMERICAS 2024 Stage 2, securing victories against 100 Thieves, LOUD, and MIBR.
Coach Koy
The 30-year-old Koy also began his career in Valorant in 2021 and established himself as a successful coach, leading top teams such as Keyd Stars, RED Canids, and FURIA. This season, he worked with FURIA in the VCT AMERICAS 2024. Following the departure of xand and Koy, FURIA's roster will change, although the team has yet to disclose details about new signings.
