FOKUS Sakura benched Mochi

The German organization FOKUS has benched Mochi from the female Valorant roster. Mochi herself announced this on her Twitter account. The organization has not yet commented on this decision.

This decision was made by the FOKUS organization's management due to the team's poor performance in the EMEA region. The team failed to qualify for the VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Series 3, finishing 7-8th in the qualifiers and earning 250 euros for the team. The team had to play this qualifier due to a poor showing in the first series of the Game Changers tournament, where they finished last and lost their slot for the next series.

Missing this tournament means the end of the season for the team and a transition into the off-season to prepare for the next one. The team has ample time to strengthen, analyze mistakes, and aim to be even stronger in the next women's Valorant season.

Mochi's Comment

Mochi stated that she does not plan to end her career and is therefore looking for a new team for the next season. Even though she still has a contract with the current organization, the management has allowed her to consider other offers.
