The German club FOKUS has announced the addition of a new member to their women's Valorant team. On January 27, this team will participate in the open qualifiers for VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 1.
The German organization kept the player announcement until the last moment, making it a day before the start of important open qualifiers for the team. These qualifiers will determine the fate of the team during the first few months of the 2024 season, as they will only have one chance to secure a place in VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 1.
The new member is ikyoo, who previously played for the women's team AEX-1 Nova. She started her career recently, at the beginning of 2023, and has since won prize money totaling $2,389.

The open qualifiers for VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 1 are scheduled to start on January 27 and will last until January 28. During these two days, the list of eight teams that will secure the coveted slots in the closed qualifiers will be determined. In the closed qualifiers, these eight teams will compete against eight other invited teams for the chance to advance to the first stage of Game Changers EMEA.
