FNATIC signs 16-year-old sayonara for Off-Season Valorant tournaments

On October 25, UK-based esports team FNATIC announced the signing of 16-year-old Sayonara to their Valorant roster. Due to age restrictions, Sayonara will not yet be eligible to play in official league matches but will participate in off-season tournaments, including the Red Bull Home Ground 2024 in Berlin this November and the Riot Games ONE 2024 in Tokyo in December.

Sayonara Career and Achievements

Sayonara began his esports career in 2022, competing in amateur teams in the Benelux region, and in 2024, he joined KPI Gaming, where he achieved significant success. In the Spanish Challengers League, he secured first place in the Split 1 VCL 2024 Spain and third place in the second split, where he was also named MVP of the season. In the VCT ASCENSION EMEA 2024 play-ins, Sayonara came close to qualifying for the Ascension tournament, finishing in second place.

Sayonara is known for his versatility, playing both initiators (Skye, Sova, KAY/O) and duelists (Jett, Raze, Yoru). His impressive stats — with a K/D ratio of 1.25 on initiators and 1.28 on duelists — underscore his skill and consistency, making him a standout player and attracting FNATIC attention.

Additionally, it has been reported that one of FNATIC core players, Leo, has temporarily stepped away from competitive play for health reasons and plans to return in 2025. Sayonara will fill in during the off-season, while Leo will rejoin the starting lineup at the beginning of the next season.
