On April 4, Fnatic emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle against Team Vitality, while Karmine Corp claimed their first win of VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 by defeating MKOI. Here’s a breakdown of both matchups.

Fnatic vs Team Vitality

A two-month break from official matches seems to have benefited Fnatic, who now appear ready to reclaim their place at the top of the EMEA region. In this match, they defeated Team Vitality — the VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff champions and one of Europe’s top teams. The series went to three maps, with the most intense being the opener. Team Vitality completed a comeback from 4:8 to win the first map in overtime (16:14). However, that would be their only map of the series. Fnatic dominated the next two, including Vitality’s own pick Lotus, and closed the series 2:1. With this result, Fnatic now sit at the top of their group, having won both of their Stage 1 matches.

Karmine Corp vs MKOI

Karmine Corp picked up their first Stage 1 victory (and second of the season) with a clean 2:0 win over MKOI. The opening map, Lotus, was a disaster for MKOI — despite winning the pistol and second round, they lost the next 13 rounds in a row, giving KC a dominant 13:2 win. Icebox was more competitive, with both halves ending in a 6:6 draw. However, MKOI fell short in overtime, losing the map 14:12 and the series overall. This marks their second consecutive loss in the tournament.

VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 runs from March 26 to May 18.
