Flax ends competitive Valorant career and shifts to content creation

On August 6, the esports team CREST GAMING announced that Flax is ending his competitive Valorant career and will focus on content creation in the future, including commentary, event participation, and teaching.

Flax, 25, began his esports career in 2017 in the CS scene, playing for leading teams like Impulse and Updraft. In 2020, he transitioned to Valorant and joined Lag Gaming, where the team achieved significant success, including second place at the RAGE VALORANT Invitational and fourth place at the RAGE VALORANT TOURNAMENT and GGC 2020.

In December 2022, Flax became the captain of REJECT. The team successfully navigated the open qualifiers for VCJ 2023 Split 1 but did not win any matches in the main event and finished in last place. In Split 2, the team also failed to advance through the open qualifiers, ending the 2023 season.

In January 2024, Flax joined CREST GAMING Zst, but the team did not make it through the open qualifiers for VCJ 2024 Split 1. In Split 2, they reached the Advanced Stage but failed to advance to the Main Stage, falling short against leading teams from their region.

In a comment on his X account, Flax stated:

Deciding to end my career was very difficult. I would have continued playing if it weren't for my desire to use my experience in another form and contribute to the eSports industry. I made this decision with a positive outlook.
