On September 29th, content creator Marp shared a teaser image of a new agent on his Twitter account, showcasing the hand of the future character, accompanied by a post providing details about him.

According to the information obtained, the new agent will be a duelist, as confirmed from official sources. He is designed for players who actively hone their shooting skills, and his effectiveness will wholly depend on these abilities, similar to the agent Reyna, who is already in the game. The probable name is Yue, and the country of origin is China, as the picture displays a classic goose soup from the Chinese province of Sichuan. Additionally, the name "Yue" is typical for China. Later on, the teaser was confirmed by the producer of the agent development team, John Hostic, in a video published by Valorant's official Twitter account.

Besides the teaser image that appeared after the mention of the upcoming agent, John also shared his thoughts about two current agents in the game - Deadlock and Gekko. He noted that Deadlock is considerably weaker compared to other defenders, so the developers plan to significantly improve her in future updates. Regarding Gekko, they are pleased that after the last balance adjustment, the agent's pick rate has increased considerably.
