FENNEL reaches fourth consecutive LAN Final in VALORANT Challengers Japan

Despite a challenging situation in the middle of the group stage of VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 2, the FENNEL team managed to regroup and not only reach the playoffs but also make it to another LAN final.

Due to a less than stellar performance in the group stage of VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 2, FENNEL started the playoffs immediately from the lower bracket. Any loss in the series could have meant elimination from the tournament and the end of their 2024 season, forcing them to fight through another tough season for a coveted VCT slot.

However, FENNEL managed to regroup and secure two crucial victories in a row, allowing them to reach the lower bracket final, which will be held in a LAN format. This is the team's fourth consecutive LAN final appearance. In the lower bracket final, they will face Sengoku Gaming, who suffered a loss in the upper bracket final.

We win 2-0 in a very tough matchup and advance to 4 out of the last 4 LAN finals of the Japan Challengers! This split has been very difficult for us, with many challenges and problems, but we have overcome them and are only gaining strength.
Head Coach of FENNEL, Ivan "Johnta" Shevtsov

The final stage of VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 2 will take place from July 27 to 28. Three teams will decide among themselves who will receive Japan's sole slot for the Ascension tournament, where a spot in the Pacific partner league will be contested.
