Fake insider exposed Rocket Bullets: How fabricated information made It to VCT tables

Recently, the Valorant community has been abuzz with discussions about an incident involving a "reliable insider" who was exposed after their fake information ended up in popular VCT player status tables.

The RocketBullets platform, known for its tables tracking player status in the VCT teams, had long been trusted by the community. However, it recently came to light that these tables contained a significant amount of inaccurate information.

The experiment was conducted by player CHUNK, who created a fake account and posed as an insider. Over the course of a week, CHUNK provided RocketBullets with fabricated rumors about player transfers. Some of these included:

  • CHUNK supposedly trialing for EG
  • yay allegedly trialing for SEN, NRG, G2
  • GE supposedly planning to sign ANGE1 and ardiis or two Turkish players despite VCT rule violations
  • Derke supposedly seen at Vitality's headquarters

All these fabricated details were entered into RocketBullets’ tables without any verification or source confirmation. This case highlights the importance of verifying information and the reliability of sources in the esports and journalism fields.

As a result, the community is actively discussing the need for improved information verification processes and possible measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
