French organization Team Vitality has announced the appointment of Daniel "Faded" Hwang as the head coach of their Valorant team and Damien "maLeK" Marcel as the team's strategic manager.
Following the conclusion of the 2024 season and the start of the transfer window, Team Vitality has completely revamped its Valorant coaching staff, parting ways with Laike "temoc" Lewis and Harry "Gorilla" Mepham, who had been with the club since 2022. Their most notable achievement was qualifying for the Valorant Champions 2024. The duo has since joined KOI, who recently announced their addition.
Team Vitality Valorant’s New Coach for 2025
On November 14, Team Vitality revealed that Daniel "Faded" Hwang would take the helm as the Valorant team's head coach. Previously, Faded coached prominent esports organizations such as TSM and FaZe Clan. However, these teams competed at the tier-2 and tier-3 levels in Valorant, making this his first experience working with a top-tier roster.
A Promising Future
This year, Team Vitality has heavily invested in its Valorant lineup. The organization signed two star players: the seasoned and decorated Less, and one of the best duelists, Derke. Now, with a new coach on board, the team's potential will be put to the test at the VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff tournament, set to begin in January 2025.
