During a match, Boostio mouse malfunctioned, but it did not stop 100Thieves from winning the round

An interesting incident occurred tonight during one of the group stage matches of the VCT 2024 Americas League - Stage 1. The team captain of 100Thieves faced a gaming mouse malfunction, yet his team did not lose composure and ultimately won the round.

The incident happened on the third week of the games, during a match between 100Thieves and Cloud9. On the first map, Bind, with the score at 9-6, 100Thieves were on the attacking side. As they moved to capture point A, the mouse of the captain, Kelden "Boostio" Pupello, suddenly malfunctioned, preventing him from performing any actions.

Commentators immediately speculated that this would cause the team to lose the round. Despite the technical failure, Kelden did not panic and continued forward to provide his team with crucial information. Thanks to his efforts, 100Thieves successfully won the round, after which the captain stood up and directed an expletive-laden taunt at his opponents.

As a result, 100Thieves won the match with a score of 13-7, and later won the second map, Ascent, with a score of 13-6. This victory solidified their status as one of the favorites in their group, with an overall match record of 2-1.
