Due to unspecified issues, developers are canceling practice matches in the Premier mode

The in-game Premier mode initially gave players the opportunity to feel like real tournament participants and eventually became a chance for young promising players to break into the professional Valorant scene. However, even this mode is not without its problems, as representatives of Riot recently reported.

Laura La Vito, the main producer of the Premier Valorant mode at Riot Games, reported a few days ago about unexpected issues that have caused certain limitations. According to her, practice matches in the Contender and Invite divisions will be disabled during the second week of the competition.

It is worth remembering that each stage of the Premier mode lasts seven weeks. During this period, teams compete on specific days, earning ratings necessary for moving up in the tournament standings. Besides, on certain days, practice matches become available. These matches follow the same rules but their results do not affect the rankings, designed solely to allow players to practice consistently. It is these practice matches that have encountered certain issues, leading to their unavailability in the Contender and Invite divisions on July 3, 4, and 5.

The new stage of competition in Premier mode runs from June 27 to August 11, 2024. The second week of matches begins tomorrow, taking place on the map Bind. Continue to follow our portal for more interesting information about the Premier mode in Valorant.
