DRX and Team Secret secure playoff spots - Week two results of Pacific Stage 2

The regular season in each competitive region is in full swing, and teams continue to vie for crucial points. The second week of play concluded yesterday, resulting in two teams securing their spots in the upcoming playoff stage.

In the first match, a clash occurred between DRX and Rex Regum Qeon. Despite being considered one of the strongest teams in the region, they lost both maps with scores of 12-14 on Split and 12-14 on Sunset. However, there is a logical explanation for this outcome: DRX had already earned enough points to advance to the playoffs, making a victory in this match unnecessary.

In the second match, we saw a confrontation between Team Secret and T1. The former has been showing excellent results throughout the tournament, while the latter has not. This was reflected in yesterday's match, where Team Secret, not without difficulty, emerged victorious after three maps: Haven 10-13, Split 13-6, Icebox 14-12. The team also secured a playoff spot, currently ranking third in the standings with a score of 6-3.

VCT 2024 Pacific Stage 2 is being held from June 15 to July 21 in a LAN format at COEX Artium in Seoul. Eleven partner teams are competing for three direct invitations to the upcoming world championship, as well as Pacific Points, which are also necessary to qualify for the championship.
