The Chinese organization Dragon Ranger Gaming has become the eleventh partner team of the VCT China League for the next two years. This achievement was made possible thanks to their victory in the grand final of the VALORANT China Ascension 2023 tournament.
Now, Dragon Ranger Gaming has the opportunity to participate at the tier-1 level for the next two years and compete for a chance to secure a spot in international competitions, including Valorant Champions. In addition to the prize money that the team can win in these tournaments, the club will also receive personalized in-game skins and a percentage of the sales from the skin bundle for the world championship if Dragon Ranger Gaming manages to qualify for this event.
Regarding the grand final of VALORANT China Ascension 2023, it was a tense affair for both teams. The match was played in a best-of-five format, and three out of the four maps were hard-fought and exciting for the viewers. However, one map ended with a shocking score of 13:0, and that was the only map won by Rare Atom. Ultimately, Dragon Ranger Gaming secured a 3:1 victory and a partnership with Riot Games for the next two years.
Coming soon, on February 15th, the first official tournament, Champions Tour 2024: China Kickoff, will take place for all partner teams, including the newcomers. In this competition, they will vie for two spots in the first Masters tournament of 2024.
