Today, the charitable tournament Spike Nations kicks off. Six teams formed based on qualifying matches in their respective regions will participate in it.
Spike Nations is an annual charitable tournament organized by Riot Games, featuring teams composed exclusively of representatives from their respective countries. In the 2022 tournament, the prize pool amounted to $60,000, and the winning team was Team Benelux. This will be the fourth tournament of its kind, with only six teams participating; last year, there were twelve.
The Spike Nations tournament involves the participation of national clubs from several European countries and Turkey, both in online and offline modes. The participating teams include Spain, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and France. The monetary prizes will be donated to a charitable fund after the tournament concludes. The finals will take place at the Gamergy event in Madrid.
It's worth noting that BLAST is no longer part of the event. The tournament organizer was involved in the three previous editions of Spike Nations. However, for the latest edition, GGTech Entertainment was selected to organize and conduct the charitable tournament. The prize pool has not been disclosed yet, but judging by last year's figures, a larger sum can be expected.
