"Damn it, I just want to play right now" Yay comments on his career in Valorant

During one of his Twitch streams, professional player Yay, also known as Jaccob Whiteaker, spoke about his current career and stated that he is ready to play for those who are willing to pay.

During the match, the player was asked what he thinks about his further career, and why such a titled player is still not playing in tier-1 teams. Jaccob replied that he doesn't know why he doesn't receive offers, and he is ready to play for those who can support him.

I don't know why people think I'm so expensive, damn it, I just want to play right now. If you pay for my house and my food, I will do everything necessary, he said.

Yay also said he could play for a minimum wage within the league if it means he will be playing in the franchise.

Yay's Story

The 24-year-old American player began his career in Valorant at the end of 2020 with the team Andbox. After that, he moved to Team Envy, with whom he took second place at VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin. Later, the entire Team Envy roster was bought out by OpTic Gaming, with whom Yay had his best season. In 2022, Jaccob won VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík and took second place at the Valorant Champions 2022 World Championship. After this, OpTic Gaming disbanded the team because it did not get into the partner program from Riot Games. To date, Yay's last club was Disguised, which included streamers and content creators. After the VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Play-In Relegation, where the team took 4th place, Disguised disbanded their roster, so now Yay is a free agent.

Jaccob Whiteaker now spends his free time playing Valorant, which he streams on his Twitch account. Recently he voiced his expert opinion on who is currently the best player in the discipline. You can find out Yay's opinion in our article.
