KRU Esports' women's team coach, Rodrigo "FR1X" Vivas, reached out to the developers of the game Valorant, pointing out that an important aspect was missing in the announced future game update.
On his Twitter page, Rodrigo "FR1X" Vivas stated that despite the multitude of hyped updates and new content coming to Valorant in the future, he didn't see any announcement from the developers about introducing a title in honor of Santiago "Daveeys" Ruiz, as has been done for other professional players who passed away.
Many changes have been announced but I still don't see them announcing the title for "Daveeys".
On September 4, 2023, the organization KRU Esports posted on their social media the news of the passing of Santiago "Daveeys" Ruiz, a member of their Valorant team, due to illness. Enough time has passed since then, but Riot Games has yet to announce the release of a title dedicated to the player.
As of writing this article, there are two titles in Valorant honoring the memory of deceased players. The first is called "Twisten," in memory of Karel "Twisten" Ašenbrener, who ended his life by suicide. The second is "Gizem," in memory of Gizem “Luie” Harmankaya, who perished in a tragic earthquake in Turkey.
