The first and most significant update that has shaken the game's community concerns new sound accompaniments. Now, smokes from agents such as Astra, Brimstone, and Omen will receive a new sound that will echo 1.5 seconds before the smoke disperses. Fans of the game are divided into two camps; some believe that Riot Games have nerfed smokes, as now everyone will know when the smoke screen will fall. Others believe it's actually a buff because now allies can better allocate their resources and coordinate actions.
Bug Fixes
Deadlock
- "Annihilation" (X) can no longer open automatic doors on the "Bind" map from outside the teleportation rooms.
- "Annihilation" (X) can no longer open the trap in the middle Gateway on the "Breeze" map from below.
Neon
- "Quick Movement" (C) now more reliably fully extends through Door A on the "Fracture" map when used from the outside, behaving similarly to when it's used from the inside.
General
- Fixed a bug where music would stutter/skip during map or Range loading.
- Fixed a bug to ensure players receive appropriate rating penalties for code of conduct violations.
- Fixed a bug where the audio of the kill banner played too quietly.
Changes in Premier mode
- The Playoffs tournament queue now lasts only 15 minutes instead of 1 hour. If you do not join the queue and stay in it during the 15-minute window, your team will not be able to participate in the tournament.
- At the end of the waiting period, all remaining teams in the queue will compete simultaneously in evenly distributed stages, positioned by Premier Score.
- This change ensures that your regular-season record gives you a higher seed in your tournament.
Riot Games also changed the interface in the character selection menu. This was done to increase the number of icons for future new agents.
The end date for testing is set for October 16, meaning the patch will most likely be released on the 17th or 18th. Keep following our portal to learn about all the changes in the shooter from Riot Games.
