CGN Esports receives direct invitation to the upcoming Mandatory Cup #3

The return of the third installment of the Mandatory Cup was a pleasant surprise for the Valorant community. Yesterday, the tournament organizers officially announced the second participant who will take part in the upcoming tournament.

The German team CGN Esports, in their Twitter account, announced that they received an invitation from the organizers yesterday. The club became the first participant of Mandatory Cup #3, after the Mandatory team itself, which organizes the event. The organization's representatives are happy about this opportunity, as they did not show the best results during the off-season, and the upcoming tournament is a chance to improve their standings and earn a nice cash prize.

It should be noted that CGN Esports performed well in both stages of the Valorant Challengers 2023 DACH: Evolution Split, where they won two victories. Despite this, the main event VCT 2023: Ascension EMEA ended quickly for the team with a defeat and an exit at the 7-8th place. As a result, the club lost the opportunity to compete for a partnership with Riot Games. It is also worth noting that CGN Esports is currently participating in the Valorant Challengers 2023 DACH: Arcade, where they successfully made it to the playoffs. In a few days, the team will face Ovation eSports for a place in the grand final.

Mandatory Cup #3 will take place from December 13 to 15 in an online format. The tournament will feature 12 teams, 11 of which receive direct invitations, and one more team will have to go through open qualifiers. The event is organized by the company MandatoryGG, and the total prize pool is 15,000 euros.
