The shocking news has just emerged for all fans of the Spanish Valorant scene. One of the most renowned organizations in Spain, Case Esports, has announced its decision to leave both Riot Games disciplines - Valorant and League of Legends in the near future.
The club's management announced this decision on their official social networks. It was revealed that the CEO, Carlos Henrique Casimiro, has decided to focus on another discipline, CS2. This means that the Valorant and League of Legends teams will be disbanded after the completion of the current competitions they are participating in.
From Case Esports, we want to announce the cessation of any activity of our Valorant and League of Legends teams after the end of the first split in 2024. It should be noted that the club will not be closed and that the reason for this decision is a change in strategy by Carlos Henrique Casimiro. The organization's CEO decided to focus on the CS2 team. In these difficult times, we want to thank you for your support and all the time spent together.
It should be mentioned that the Case Esports Valorant roster was formed back in 2021. Since then, the team has participated in many tournaments, both regional and international. In 2022, the players won the second stage of VRL 2022 Spain: Rising Stage 2, as well as secured 3rd place at VRL 2022: Finals, earning a cash prize of $20,000. The last season turned out to be not very successful for the team because, during it, Case Esports failed at VCT 2023: Ascension EMEA and lost the opportunity to enter Riot's partnership program.
The last roster of Case Esports
It should be noted that currently, Case Esports are participating in the regular season of Valorant Challengers 2024 Spain: Rising Split 1. However, the situation for the team is not the best, as they occupy the 7th place in the overall tournament table, with a score of 3-9 in matches. Therefore, it is unlikely that the club will be able to end its career with a champion title.
