Boostio from 100 Thieves: "A promise is a promise"

Boostio, now the captain of the 100 Thieves Valorant team, gained public attention thanks to his response to the team's owner, Nadeshot, which he sent back in 2020.

At that time, Nadeshot was looking for players to participate in a tournament, posting a message on his Twitter page:

On Tuesday at 10 AM, the 100 Thieves Valorant team will be participating in a tournament. We need four players. Interested parties, please respond.

To this, Boostio, who was 19 years old at the time, replied:

Nadeshot, take me on your team, I promise a win.

Although Boostio did not manage to join 100 Thieves at that moment, he continued his career, playing for North American second-tier teams such as Second Wind and Spacestation Gaming. In September 2021, he joined Evil Geniuses, where he spent over two seasons. During this time, the team placed second at the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo and won the VALORANT Champions 2023, becoming world champions.

In 2024, four years after his initial response, Boostio finally joined 100 Thieves. Despite a setback at the VCT Americas 2024 Kick-off, where the team suffered two consecutive losses, they managed to bounce back and take first place in the region at the VCT 2024 Americas Stage 1. After this victory, Boostio stated that he had fulfilled his long-standing promise.

Thanks to Boostio successes, 100 Thieves are participating in an international tournament for the first time since 2023. They are expected to perform well at the upcoming Masters Shanghai.
