The bookmakers' choice is quite logical, although not in relation to all teams. That Fnatic are the undisputed favorites and main contenders for victory is clear. The European team is currently at the peak of their power, demonstrated by their victory in two major tournaments since the start of 2023. However, some teams have a rather high coefficient, which does not quite correspond to their real position.
For some reason, the previous world champions LOUD have a coefficient of 8.00, even though, in our opinion, they should compete with Fnatic and be among the 3-4 main contenders for victory. Most likely, such a coefficient is based on recent rumors about discord within the team itself and the lack of cohesion among the players, which we wrote about in our article.
KRU Esports also have an excessively high coefficient of 51.00, although considering their performance during the season, it's not surprising. However, the LCQ Americas winners can still make a stand, so bookmakers are underestimating them.
The numbers are really confusing in relation to FunPlus Phoenix. Although the team is not the first on the Chinese scene, they perform quite well at world competitions, as was the case in 2022. The current season has not been very successful for the team, but the World Championship atmosphere is completely different, so FPP definitely do not deserve the last place.
On the contrary, FUT Esports have a low coefficient, even though, according to our editorial team, the team does not deserve a tier-1 scene at all. Most likely, the Turkish team will leave the Valorant Champions 2023 in the group stage.
