BeYN returns to DRX Valorant's active roster

DRX has officially announced the return of Kang "BeYN" Ha-bin to their active Valorant roster after his time in the inactive lineup. BeYN replaced Na "Athan" Ha-jun, who had been competing for the team during four offseason tournaments.

Following the conclusion of the VCT season, BeYN was benched, and the team played without him throughout the entire offseason. On January 5, the organization confirmed his return to the main roster. Na "Athan" Ha-jun, by mutual agreement, has stepped down from the main squad and returned to the academy team, where he will now compete in the Challengers league.

The situation with Athan is rather unfortunate, as he was one of DRX Academy’s prospects and had the chance to prove himself on the tier-1 stage. While his performance, particularly on KAY/O, was solid, his experience was limited to offseason tournaments. Now, he returns to the academy team, waiting for another opportunity — though given the high competition in VCT, such a chance might not come anytime soon.

DRX will play their first match of the new season on January 20 against the winner of the Zeta Division vs. Nongshim RedForce matchup as part of the VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff tournament, where two slots for Masters Bangkok will be up for grabs.
