Valorant is a popular online shooter game developed by Riot Games. However, if you have a low-end computer, it can be challenging to achieve maximum performance and graphics in the game. Therefore, in this article, we will consider all possible Valorant game settings for low-end computers, which will help you get the best gaming experience.
One of the first and main steps to improve the game's performance on a low-end computer is to reduce graphic settings and screen format. Open Valorant, go to settings, click on the "video" tab and get to the main graphic settings where there are three more tabs: "general," "graphics quality," and "stats." For performance improvement, we only need the first two.
Display Mode
Let's start with the "general" tab, the first item - "display mode," we choose to be fullscreen. It helps your computer understand where to focus its power.
Set the screen resolution as low as possible, for example, 1280 x 720 (depends on your monitor). You can also reduce the aspect ratio of the screen from 16:9 to 4:3, for example. While this will significantly affect the picture quality, the trade-off is increased performance.
Turn off everything else in the tab, except for NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency (for owners of Nvidia video cards).
Graphic Settings
Next, go to the "graphics quality" tab, where the first item is multithreaded rendering, turn it on only if your system meets such requirements:
- 8 GB of RAM
- 2 GB of video memory
- An 8-core processor (both physical and virtual)
If your system is lower than these specifications, turn off multithreaded rendering to increase system performance.
Turn everything else off or set it to the lowest values.
We would like to point out settings like Bloom and Distortion. They help to navigate the game easier and faster as they add more effects to the characters' abilities, helping newcomers understand them better. But if you are not a beginner, or your system does not allow you to keep them on, it's better to turn them off to increase performance.
Stats Tab
There are no settings in this tab that could help increase the performance of your computer, but you can turn on the frames per second counter or ping display. There is also a lot of other statistics about your system, but they also affect performance, so the best option would be to only have the frames counter and ping.
These are all possible game settings that will help get maximum performance, if even with these settings you cannot comfortably play the game, you should consider buying a new computer or improving the existing one.
Tips
If you have an SSD, it is better to reinstall Valorant on it, as it will significantly positively impact your computer's performance.
Also, it is recommended to refrain from purchasing or using animated skins in the game since they have animation and many different effects, which can affect game performance and, as a result, reduce the number of frames per second.
