At VCT 2024 Americas Stage 1, Leviatán defeated Sentinels 2-0. Aspas, who earned 47 kills on the Lotus map, setting a new record for the most kills on a single map in LAN tournaments, sparked interest with his post-match interview.
The match between Leviatán and Sentinels, the winners of Masters Madrid, was tense until the end, with six overtimes on the Lotus map, but Leviatán won 19-17. Aspas showcased an impressive performance, earning 47 kills, 19 deaths, setting a new record for the most kills on a single map in LAN tournaments. Following this, Leviatán also won on the Icebox map with a score of 13-11, defeating Sentinels 2-0.
When asked how the Brazilian player feels about breaking the VCT record, he replied:
When the map ended, I thought: 'Incredible. I couldn't take down a single enemy with my Ult.

Spacca: você acabou de quebrar o recorde de toda história do VCT, qual a sensação?
Aspas: quando acabou o mapa eu pensei "não é possível, não matei um cara na ult" 😔 pic.twitter.com/gru7CltpqA
Leviatán, strengthened by Aspas arrival in the offseason, failed to achieve the expected results: they did not advance past the group stage at VCT Americas 2024 Kickoff and lost to Cloud9 1-2 in Stage 1 opening. The team defeated the champion Sentinels partly thanks to Aspas stunning play, but all attention will be on their upcoming matches.
