After GIANTX’s victory over XLG Esports in the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2025, which secured the team a coveted playoff spot, Eduard-George "ara" Hanceriuc gave a post-match interview where he acknowledged the people who helped him achieve this level of success.
It’s worth noting that the player delivered incredible numbers in the match against the Chinese side, reaching an ACS of over 300 and recording 54 kills. More detailed statistics can be found via this link.
You've adapted so fast to the team. Both you and Flickless brought a bit of fresh air to the roster. Looking back, what are you the proudest of?
I'm really proud of how I improved since I joined Giants. Especially thanks to my coach Ibson and assistant coach Oy Lender. They tried to make me the best player, teaching me many things I didn’t know. Without them, I wouldn’t be in this place.
We’ve seen a massive comeback from you guys on the first map. Are you the one suggesting peeks or ideas when the team is struggling? How does it work for you in GIANTX during tough times?
I have some ideas for certain rounds, especially when I have Outlaw. I tell Cloud what I want to do with it. But mainly Cloud is calling, and I don’t want to speak over him because he’s calling really well. With his calls, I can shine, and the whole team shines too.
Who do you want to face in playoffs the most? Who do you have on your mind and on your crosshair?
I would really like to get our revenge against PRX. That loss left a bittersweet taste because we knew we could have closed it. But I don’t think it’s possible because of the bracket. So I’d say NRG, since they’re from NA. That’s why — it’s the EMEA vs NA rivalry, you know.
VALORANT Champions 2025 is taking place from September 12 to October 5 in France. The event features 16 teams competing for a prize pool of $2,250,000. More details about the results and schedule of upcoming matches can be found via this link.
