For Apeks and MKOI, January 24 marked a disappointing end as both teams were eliminated from the tournament after defeats. Here are the final results from the last day of the second week of play at the VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff.

Team Liquid vs Apeks

The debut VCT tournament for Apeks and florescent ended in a loss, as the team fell to Team Liquid with a 2:1 scoreline. This was their second consecutive defeat, leading to their elimination despite florescent’s incredible effort, recording 62 kills across three maps and being the only Apeks player with a positive K/D. Team Liquid, on the other hand, continues their lower-bracket run at the VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff, aiming for a coveted spot at Masters Bangkok.

Gentle Mates vs MKOI

The second elimination match of the day featured Gentle Mates against MKOI. Like the first match, all three maps were required to determine the winner. Gentle Mates emerged victorious with a 2:1 scoreline, advancing further in the lower bracket to face Fnatic in their next match. For MKOI, however, another tournament ended at the bottom of the standings—an updated roster was not enough to improve the team’s results.

The VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff runs from January 15 to February 9 in a LAN format at the Riot Games Arena. Twelve partner teams from the VCT program are competing for two invitations to Masters Bangkok and crucial EMEA Points needed for World Championship qualification.
