Discussions about the age of professional VALORANT players continue in the community. Influencer Rocket recently highlighted the age gap between 35-year-old ANGE1 from Natus Vincere and 18-year-old hiro. In his post, he pointed out that in 2012, when FNS competed in his first offline tournament, Verno was just 6 years old, while in 2006, when ANGE1 debuted at such a tournament, hiro was only 44 days old. These comments sparked a heated discussion and garnered nearly 10,000 likes.
ANGE1, who has 20 years of experience in the competitive scene, stated that he sees nothing shameful about his age. "Why do some people consider this something to be ashamed of?" he questions. "I'm proud of my career, playing at the Tier 1 level even at 35. I believe it takes something special to do that." ANGE1 began his career in 2005, competing in CS 1.6 with teams like HellRaisers and forZe, participating in over ten international tournaments.

After transitioning to CS:GO in 2012, ANGE1 spent seven years with HellRaisers, competing in majors and earning over $180,000. In 2020, he moved to VALORANT, joining FunPlus Phoenix and winning the VCT 2022 Masters Copenhagen title. In November 2022, ANGE1 joined NAVI, helping the team achieve success at the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN and other international tournaments.
With discussions around age, NAVI have signed new players hiro, koalanoob, and Ruxic in preparation for the 2025 season. ANGE1 is gearing up for the VCT EMEA 2025 KICK-OFF, starting January 15 with a match against Karmine Corp. Can he once again lead the team to international success? Answers will come soon.
