The current Episode 9, as well as the year 2024, are coming to an end, and the Valorant community is preparing to welcome new content. Along with the start of Episode 10, the game will undergo another map rotation, which we will discuss below.
Changes to the general map rotation
According to the VALORANT Leaks & News dataminer, along with the 10.0 update, which marks the beginning of Episode 10, the game will undergo another map rotation. This time, 2 maps will be removed from the general pool, and the same number will be returned to replace them.
The Ascent and Sunset maps will be removed and Lotus and Fracture will be added in their place. It should be noted that Fracture has been absent from the pool for more than 1 year and 2 months, which makes it the record holder for the longest time. In turn, it will replace Ascent, which has been in the competition pool for almost the last 4 years, which is also a record. The overall Muppet pool after the start of Episode 10 will look like this:
- Lotus
- Fracture
- Split
- Haven
- Abyss
- Pearl
- Bind
It should be noted that the Fracture map is one of the least favorite among Valorant players due to its feature of splitting it into 2 parts. It is not yet known if any changes have been made to the map, so we will wait until Episode 10 to find out.
