Yesterday marked the end of the second stage of The Cozy Clash - Open Qualifier 2. As a result, the winners of the upper and lower brackets received invitations to the main tournament, becoming the last teams to qualify for the championship.
As a reminder, the first stage of the open qualifiers took place from November 6 to 11. As a result, the first teams to participate in the main tournament were determined. Thanks to a victory in the upper bracket, the women's team Disguised GC received the first invitation to the event, followed by Complexity GX3 securing the second slot. After yesterday's qualifiers, two teams, Never Woulda Thought and Supernova Galaxy, who were outsiders in the first stage of the qualifiers, managed to break through to the main tournament.
The first team to secure the coveted slot was Never Woulda Thought. The team clinched two easy victories with 2-0 scores against Supernova Galaxy and a lesser-known stack named :3. Following this, the Supernova Galaxy club had a series of wins in the lower bracket against DREAMLAND 2-0, FlyQuest RED 2-0, and :3 2-0. Thanks to this, both teams received invitations to the main tournament, which will start in a month.
The Cozy Clash 2023 is another off-season Valorant event for the women's GC league. The tournament will take place from December 15 to 17 in a LAN format in Texas, USA, and is organized by Complexity Gaming along with sponsors Lenovo Legion. Four teams will compete for the championship title and a total prize pool of $40,000.
