After the announcement of the new lineup, thwifo leaves 100Thieves and the competitive Valorant scene

Just today, the American team 100Thieves announced their Valorant roster for the upcoming competitive season, and following this, one of the members left the club. Professional player Zander "thwifo" Kim, who was a substitute on the team, is leaving the group.

In his official Twitter account, Zander made an important statement regarding his future career. He reported that he had decided to leave the competitive scene a long time ago but had not officially announced it. Despite the farewell, thwifo does not plan to leave the discipline entirely and wants to try his hand at being an analyst, coach, or assistant.

Hello everyone, I left the Valorant competitive scene some time ago, but I never announced it. I'm still open to opportunities in analysis/coaching, but I'm devoting more time to YouTube and coaching. Creating videos has been my passion (unconsciously), and I always set it aside to play, but now there's time.

As we wrote above, Zander "thwifo" Kim is a professional substitute player who left his last team, NRG, at the beginning of 2023, and since then has been offering his services to 100Thieves. Interestingly, during this period, the team never utilized Zander's skills, so his last appearances on the professional scene date back to the end of 2022.

Interestingly, even though the 100Thieves lineup only needs one player, it's likely the team will be looking for someone to replace Zander. This is because, under the new rules of Riot Games, professional teams must have at least one substitute player.
