After failing at VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, the Korean team T1 bids farewell to coach CheongGak

Following the first major tournament in the Pacific region, participating teams are analyzing the experience gained and making changes to their rosters accordingly. This is what happened with the T1 team, which decided to end its cooperation with the Valorant squad's coach after poor results.

The organization announced this decision on its official Twitter account last night. The club's management thanked Lee "CheongGak" Il-ho for his contribution to the team's life and hopes that the coach will continue his career in another promising club in the future.

Today, we part ways with "CheongGak". We thank him for his contribution to the T1 VALORANT team and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Lee "CheongGak" Il-ho - a 29-year-old Korean coach, began his journey at the beginning of 2023. He spent his entire career with T1 and helped the players secure prize places at several significant tournaments. Among the achievements are third place at VCT 2023: Pacific League, as well as 3-4 place at the last VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff. Unfortunately, only the first two places guaranteed progression to the next tournament, so T1's result can be considered unsatisfactory.

The coach himself has not yet commented on his departure from the team, only confirming the announcement on his social networks. It can be assumed that CheongGak does not plan to leave the competitive scene and will soon start looking for a new home, in the Korean or international scene.
