Acend benches all female Valorant roster members until the end of their contracts

The organization Acend has moved all the women from its roster to substitute roles until the end of their current contracts. This was announced by the team's coach on his Twitter page.

According to Antonio "Aska" Lozano, his and the other players' contracts are set to expire this year. However, the management has already given permission to seek and consider offers from other organizations. Therefore, they have decided to stay together and find a new club that they will represent as a team. Under the Acend banner, the players have won $19,350 in prize money over more than a year.

With our contract ending this year, Acend has allowed us to explore options for the upcoming year. Therefore, we are open to offers to represent a new organisation as a whole team.

The current Acend lineup was formed before the start of VCT Game Changers: EMEA Series 2 2023 and immediately showed their strength by securing third place. This earned them an invitation to participate in VCT Game Changers: EMEA Series 3 2023, where they finished second. However, a defeat in this tournament meant they had only one more chance to qualify for the VCT 2023: Game Changers Championship - to secure the necessary points. In the end, the team was 10 points short to participate in the women's world championship.

As of now, there are no official announcements or rumors about which specific club will be the new home for these players. Stay tuned to our website to not miss this and other important information from the world of Valorant.
