39 Kills and ACS 520: freeing from Rare Atom sets new record at the start of VCT 2024 CHINA Ascension

The VCT 2024 CHINA Ascension tournament kicked off today, and a new record was already set in the first match between Rare Atom and ZY Gaming.

Despite many predicting a victory for ZY Gaming, freeing from Rare Atom, who previously played for the Korean team Dplus KIA, delivered an outstanding performance. His ACS (Average Combat Score) reached 520, and in just 20 rounds, he secured 39 kills, with a headshot accuracy of 38% and an ADR (Average Damage per Round) of 316. This result was a sensation, as even an ACS of 316 is considered an impressive achievement.

freeing also made excellent use of his abilities, activating his ultimate four times and securing 27 kills in the first half of the match. He has been competing in VALORANT tournaments since 2020 but only officially joined the professional scene in 2023. While playing for DK, he played as a Sentinel and Viper, achieving strong stats: in the first stage, he had an ACS of 224.4 and a K/D of 1.20, while in the second stage, his ACS was 223.2 and K/D was 1.23.

Rare Atom claimed victory with a 2-0 scoreline and is now just one step away from advancing out of the group stage. freeing performances will continue to draw attention throughout the tournament.
