The esports organization Vitality was founded in October 2013. Five years later, in October 2018, the Counter-Strike division was launched. Initially, the club aimed to create a French super team with the country's best players. However, realizing that the French CS pro scene lacked enough top-tier talent, they abandoned this idea. Vitality team was founded by Nicolas Maurer and Fabien Devide.
The team’s first victories came quickly. In 2019, they won the Esports Championship Series Season 7 and EPICENTER 2019. Vitality has consistently competed for top spots in tournaments, but their crowning achievements are the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and IEM Cologne 2024 trophies. With the transition to CS2, the team continues to deliver strong performances.

Vitality stats confirm the team’s status as one of the best on the professional scene. Vitality CS2 made history as the first organization to win a Major on home soil.
