Developers have revealed details of the Y10S2 update for Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft has revealed the details of the Y10S2 update, which brings significant changes to gameplay mechanics, operator balance, and core systems. The full changelog was published on the game's official website.

Main additions include:

  • Clash rework with a new deployable shield
  • New electricity interaction system — now neutral
  • Reduced limb damage from gunfire
  • Balance updates for Jackal, Jager, Sledge, Zofia, Ela, and others
  • Rappel system changes and shield balance adjustments

  • Added tint to outside glass
  • Made improvements to glass audio

Clash CCE SHIELD MK2

  • Deploy: The CCE Shield MK2 can be deployed. Can be picked up again.
  • Vulnerabilities when deployed: The shield can be destroyed with explosives. Anyone can bash through the shield to destroy it. The Taser Battery can be destroyed by a Kludge Drone. The shield will stay intact, but the Taser cannot be used anymore.

TASER

  • Activation: Can be toggled on and off using the Switch Ability Button. When the shield is not equipped Clash will use a Remote Controller to do so.
  • Electricity: Doesn't deal damage.
  • Slowdown: The intensity depends on the movement direction (stronger towards Clash).
  • Battery: Increased to 10 seconds (from 5).
  • Area: Wider area of effect (Changed from a box to a cone).

LOADOUT

  • Gadgets: Removed Deployable Shield.

Sledge

  • Hitting a ballistic shield with a hammer knocks back the opponent

Jackal

  • Scan now gives only one accurate ping
  • Coldest (blue): Duration increased to 120 seconds (from 90)
  • Number of scans increased to 5
