Knowing every point and position on a map is essential for players in any shooter, and Rainbow Six Siege is no exception. This knowledge will allow you to act correctly in various situations and gain an advantage over your opponent. That’s why our editorial team continues to detail the naming conventions of all positions in Ubisoft’s tactical shooter. Today we have prepared material in which we will talk about the Chalet map and all the callouts on this location.
Basic information about the Chalet map
The Chalet map was released together with the game itself in 2015, but in 2020, along with the Shadow Legacy operation, it was updated and partially reworked. The location represents the famous ski resort in France – Courchevel. Like all others, the Chalet map is divided into 4 parts:
- Basement
- Ground
- 1st Floor
- Roof
But the last part of Roof is the rooftop, and it is used only by attacking players. There are no positions on the rooftop with their own specific names, so we won’t describe it. Now, it’s time to talk about the callouts on all four levels of this location.
Basement
- BLUE: Derived from the consistently blue coloring in that corridor.
- BLUE SPOT: A place where you can remove a few shelves and stand in a corner, holding off attacking players.
- BLUE HOLE: A drone hole that can be used to eliminate an enemy.
- TRASHCAN: A common spot for planting the defuser.
- MAIN GARAGE: The main garage, larger in size but used less frequently.
- GARAGE: A smaller garage, not considered the main one, but used more often.
- L-WALL: Usually opened in “Bomb” mode to provide a direct line of sight.
- DARK SPOT: A good hiding place against players not using their drones.
- BEARDMOBILE: The spot where Blackbeard always sits.
Ground
- JUNGLE: A unique name given to a plant, easy to remember.
- KITCHEN DROP: The spot where the hatch from the second floor drops down.
- WEST MAIN: Simply “Main,” but to improve communication, players say “West Main” so as not to confuse it with the Lobby.
- GAME HALL: The corridor leading to the game room.
- CORNER: A spot for planting the defuser.
- POT SPOT: A position to hold near a flower pot.
- BAR: A place where a bomb is planted.
1st Floor
- KANINE SPOT: This point is named after a former professional player known as Kanine, who constantly used this position in pro matches.
- LOBBY DROP: A common place to drop down into the lobby.
- TEO SPOT: Another point named after a famous player. YouTuber TEO often held this position.
- LIB HALL (Library Hallway): A long hallway leading to the library.
- T SECTION: A place where three corridors intersect.
- T PLANT: A spot to plant the defuser near the T-Section.
- L WINDOW: A balcony in the bathroom shaped somewhat like the letter “L,” hence the name.
- BRICK: A piece of stone used as cover on the terrace.
- MAIN STAIRS: The stairs leading to West Main.
Why it’s important to know callouts
In conclusion, we want to emphasize that knowing the positions on any map is very important. It not only helps you in fighting enemies but also improves communication with your teammates. Conversely, if you do not know the crucial positions on a given map, it will jeopardize your chances of winning the match and create a negative experience for your entire team.
