In his latest interview, Falcons Esports coach Danny zonic Sorensen talked about how he built the team from scratch and the difficulties he faced. Most importantly, whether he managed to assemble the golden lineup that will tear up the competition like the former Astralis.
zonic joined the Falcons team on November 11, 2023. This means that in less than two months, he had to assemble a team. Because on January 8, the open qualifiers for the first-ever major in Counter-Strike 2 - PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 began.
The team already had BOROS at its disposal, who has been sitting on the bench for 7 months and not playing. He previously left Monte. The first player zonic signed was the future team captain Marco Snappi Pfeiffer.

Of course, for zonic, this task was not very difficult, as Arabs have practically unlimited budgets, which is why some organizations simply let their players go due to economic benefits.
But here's what zonic himself has to say about it:
I am very satisfied with the Falcons lineup, but I faced a challenging task. Joining in November and then assembling a strong team with ambitions to make it to the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 was harder than I expected. Many teams are reluctant to sell their players two months before the start of the qualification cycle and the first major in CS2.I have big ambitions for this lineup, but expecting us to start winning right from the start would be a bit naive.
I definitely think we can win tournaments with this lineup. But at the same time, my first year in both Astralis and Vitality was extremely tough. We need to get to know each other. We have to create not the playing style of Vitality or ENCE, but a joint playing style of Falcons.
The next time we see Team Falcons on the big stage will be BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024, which starts on January 22, 2024.
