FURIA is preparing another unexpected change in its lineup. According to the Brazilian portal Game Arena, Latvian referee Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis is close to joining the team to replace Felipe “skullz” Medeiros. This may be the second international transfer of the organization in the last month - recently FURIA signed AWP player from Kazakhstan Molodoy, replacing chelo.

Changes in the lineup and potential international top five

After an unsuccessful performance at the RMR tournament, FURIA seems to have decided to completely rebuild the roster. If earlier the team was exclusively Brazilian, now it is an international five with English-language communication.

The replacement of skullz is the first such step. Although the 23-year-old has been putting in solid performances and has adapted well to the role KSCERATO used to play, his time with the team could be over in less than two seasons. It is expected that YEKINDAR, a star Latvian rifleman who is in Team Liquid's reserve after an unsuccessful experiment with the role of captain, will take his place.

YEKINDAR is known for his aggressive style of play and leadership skills. In Virtus.pro, he was one of the best entry-frags in the world, and with Liquid he reached the finals of major tournaments, including BLAST World Final 2022. His experience and pace can be important for the updated FURIA.
