The teams set to compete at the first big LAN tournament after the summer break have been revealed

Tournament operator FISSURE has announced the participants for the debut tournament of the series — FISSURE Playground 1, which will take place from July 15 to 20 in Belgrade, Serbia. This tournament will be the first major LAN event after the summer break and will host 16 invited teams. 

The tournament will be held at the Sava Center. The total prize pool is $1,000,000, with $450,000 allocated to players and $550,000 to clubs. The winner will receive $150,000.

Invited Teams

Most tier-1 teams, including Vitality, MOUZ, Falcons, Spirit, G2, MongolZ, Aurora, FaZe, and NAVI, declined to participate in the tournament. As a result, organizers had to go further down the VRS ranking list, extending invitations as far as the 27th position. The team list for FISSURE Playground 1 includes:

Format and Prize Pool

The tournament will start with a GSL group stage: four groups of four teams, with all matches played in a best-of-3 format. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs, where single-elimination matches will take place. The quarterfinals and semifinals will also be in bo3, while the grand final will be in a best-of-5 format.

The prize pool for players will be $450,000:

  • 1st place — $150,000
  • 2nd place — $100,000
  • 3rd–4th places — $35,000 each
  • 5th–8th places — $17,500 each
  • 9th–12th places — $10,000 each
  • 13th–16th places — $5,000 each
