NAVI Junior advance, will face Fnatic Rising for spot at WePlay LAN

Two down, two to go

Two teams down, two still in the race.

mouz NXT, Young Ninjas and BIG Academy have already guaranteed themselves spots at the LAN final of the WePlay Academy League Season 1, while four contenders had to battle for the last remaining ticket to the event.

Astralis Talent joined FURIA Academy on the sidelines, as VP Prodigy showed an absolute master class on Mirage, making quick work of their Danish counterparts. Nuke was much more contested, but Virtus.pro’s second team secured the map with a “16-10” scoreline, booking themselves a match against NAVI Junior.

Natus Vincere’s secondary lineup brightest star, “m0NESY”, was more than ready for the challenge, however. “28-8” on Dust2 and his signature AWP holding down doors round after round, allowed NAVI Junior to take the “16-6” win and move to the Overpass. Timely eco win stopped all the momentum, which VP.Prodigy tried to build, as scoreline spiraled down to “11-4” at the half time. A furious comeback attempt came to a screeching halt due to another eco win, as NAVI Junior moved to face Fnatic Rising tomorrow for the coveted spot at the LAN event.

Will the international mix find a way to negate “m0NESY”, or “61-21” against VP Progidy was only the beginning? We will find out very soon.
