w0nderful: 'We are ready to show Major's winning form' - Natus Vincere in Esports World Cup final

Natus Vincere were back in the spotlight after reaching their second consecutive finals, following a win at PGL Major Copenhagen and a successful performance at the BLAST Premier Spring Final. Despite difficulties after the Major, including early exits at ESL Pro League S19 and IEM Dallas, the team regained their form and made it to the 2024 BLAST Premier Spring Final. Their journey to the Esports World Cup also marked their second consecutive final where they will meet new team G2, thus silencing the critics.

After a break in play, Natus Vincere proved their mettle once again by reaching the Esports World Cup finals. Igor “w0nderful” Zhdanov in an interview with HLTV talked about the last match against MOUZ, the current form of the team and expectations from the upcoming final.

Natus Vincere managed to reach the Esports World Cup grand finals, but the first map against MOUZ proved to be difficult, ending in a 1-13 defeat. w0nderful explained that the team failed to realize their plans despite preparing and practicing on this map. Nevertheless, they gathered their strength and won Nuke, chosen by MOUZ, thanks to a strong T side and a calm approach to the game. The third map ended with NAVI winning, which w0nderful said was a result of focusing on the game and forgetting about the first map.

The support of the crowd played an important role in the success of NAVI and w0nderful said that it was nice to feel the support of the crowd. He also emphasized that the team feels confident after reaching two finals in a row, despite a slump in form after the Major.

The match against G2 promises to be a tough one as G2's new roster looks very strong. w0nderful noted that it will be a 50/50 game where the better prepared and stronger team will win. Talking about the sniper duel against m0NESY, w0nderful acknowledged him as the best player in the world but emphasized that he is focusing on playing against the whole team and not against one player.

Final thoughts w0nderful are full of confidence: the NAVI are ready to show winning form, demonstrating that their success at the Major was no fluke. Their path to Esports World Cup and the upcoming final against G2 confirm that Natus Vincere remains one of the top teams in the world.
