The second pair of Group B matches at IEM Cologne 2024 is over, where Vitality vs FURIA and MOUZ vs Falcons met. The winner of each match advances to the semifinals of the upper grid, where their opponent is already waiting for them.
Vitality vs. FURIA
The first card of the match was Inferno, the choice of FURIA, who had no offense at all and lost the half 9-3. And most recently, they took 12 rounds in a row in a match against Imperial. On defense after losing a pistol round, they took none and lost the map 13-3.
The second map was Mirage, where this time FURIA's defense failed, but this time they gave up 10 rounds and lost half of them 10-2. The second half was similar to Inferno and the team did not take a single round and lost it 13-2.
MOUZ vs Falcons
The first card was Nuke, the pick of the Falcons, who like FURIA on their pick did not go taka and lost the half with a more resounding 11-1 score. In the second half Falcons tried to get back into the game by taking 5 rounds, but it was not enough to win and they lost the map with a score of 13-6.
The second map was Vertigo, the choice of MOUZ, who showed a good attack and after the first half were leading by a close margin of 7-5. The second half was not usual and Falcons managed to take the initiative in it, ending in their favor with a score of 13-11.
The third map was Ancient, where MOUZ had a winning percentage of 80% in 5 maps played. The first half ended with a close score of 7-5 in MOUZ's favor, but after a series win in the second half from Falcons, they led 9-7. MOUZ managed to pull themselves together in time and seized the initiative, winning 6 rounds in a row, ending the game with a score of 13-9.

With the win, Vitality and MOUZ advanced to the semifinals of the top grid, where they will play their matches tomorrow against FaZe and Complexity for a playoff spot.
